Testimonials

We traveled with Chateau Travel to the region of Bordeaux, France, in the spring of 2009. The quality of wines was unsurpassable, with tours and tastings in landmarks such as Chateau Margaux, Chateau Mouton Rothschild and Chateau Haut-Brion. The food was of very high quality in perfect harmony with the wines. We enjoyed a very high level of hosting with the small group of travelers who accompanied us to beautiful places. We still have some wine, mementos of that journey, to enjoy for several years in the future. In short: excellent service, paired with great wine and culinary knowledge. Highly recommended with great value for investment!

Chateau Travel Services offer excellence in tasting the best wines at the world's most renowned vineyards, the best hotels and restaurants. The exclusivity of sharing the extraordinary personalized attention of Sergio and Mayra in small groups make these trips unforgettable, and always full of pleasant and magical moments to remember.
Mayra and Sergio, connoisseurs of wine and the gastronomic world, open the doors to important vineyards that individually would be next to impossible to access. Having dinner sitting in those big tables of these Chateaux, you really feel like a king.

Undoubtedly we recommend these pleasant trips, which have been very enriching!

When contacting Mayra and Sergio Esteva in 2008 through the newly formed Club del Vino Valencia, I did not imagine the surprises that would await us. They were promoting a trip to Burgundy and Champagne, and my husband and I got 2 couples to go on the trip with us. Even on the pre-trip the Estevas made the fun begin. They put everyone at ease, as if we had known each other for a lifetime. Needless to say the trip was a success, the hotels and selected restaurants, as well as the wonderful visits to different vineyards and large wineries made us want to repeat the experience as soon as possible.

So a year later, we took the tour called ‘Grand Prix & Wines” that combined the experience of attending the F1 race in Spain and visits to 3 vineyards in the Penedes. It was a refreshing trip, with all the warmth and charm of Catalonia. For this trip, one of the friends and couples repeated the experience and 2 more couples joined us, leaving everyone happy.

Chateau Travel had become the talk of the town. Both with the initial friends and the other couples who took the tour of the vineyards to Chile, and yet again travelling with the Estevas was a wise choice that gave us some unforgettable days in the South.
Why repeat the experience? Because during the journey you feel pampered, you do not have to make any decisions, you let go, you're in a magic bubble, lovingly protected by the Estevas !!!

Our fourth trip was the Western Circuit in France and although I thought it would take a lot to impress me, the region of Bordeaux, Sarlat, Saint Emilion, left the palate and the eyes filled with beautiful scenery and wonderful wines.

Sergio and Mayra are great at uniting the group, keeping the energy and conversations flowing. You keep laughing from the moment the luxurious minibus picks you up every morning until you go back to the hotel. Gastronomy, enology, history, tourism, everything is present.

Would we return to travel with Chateau Travel? Definitely, … read more

The first tour we did with Mayra and Sergio was Bordeaux!! My husband, Edgar, heard a radio interview where Mayra and Sergio shared their travel details and he immediately got excited about the idea of living that eno-gastronomic experience with them. I decided to go along with the idea, but to be honest I was not thrilled because my only tour experience before had not been very pleasant (I constantly felt like a sheep being herded from one place to another).

Let me say that from that first trip, my experience and perspective has changed radically. Going on a trip with Mayra and Sergio is a totally unique experience. Mayra and Sergio are two wonderful well-educated and cultured human beings, who are in constant pursuit of excellence. From day one you feel like family and they are always ready to listen or make a small exception, if the case warrants it. In addition, they demand the most for their clients when it comes to the quality offered in each hotel and establishment on their tour.

Another point that bothered me when I went on that first trip was the kind of people I was traveling with. Here, we became quite fond of all of our traveling companions. Everyone has his/her differences, but all the participants had one thing in common: they were educated and respectful people, who knew how to enjoy themselves appropriately. My husband’s expectations were not only met, but I can state for a fact that they were far surpassed; we have done three eno-gastronomic experiences with Mayra and Sergio ... and soon we’ll be going on our fourth !!!!

Chateau Travel ..... whenever I read about or hear those two words, I am reminded of great moments, beautiful scenery, wonderful people and of course the best food and wine sensory experience imaginable. We have been fortunate enough to enjoy Chateau Travel’s charm five times: Bordeaux, Burgundy, Tuscany and northern Spain, the latter on 2 occasions. It's a real challenge to summarize our unique experience on each of these trips, so as not to abuse your precious time and to get to the purpose of my letter, I can split these experiences into 3 main sections: organization and logistics, travel companions, and the eno-gastronomical experience.

Organization and logistics: Mayra and Sergio were wonderful hosts on each of these adventures. Being organized and orderly without being rigid, warmth and friendliness, are some of their main attributes. The whole trip is organized with astonishing fluidity, where they take care of the smallest details, from luggage tags to organizing a magical hot-air balloon experience over the landscapes of La Rioja and Cava. It felt like our balloon baskets rested on a carpet of clouds amid a crisp, clear blue sky. That really was one of the best feelings we have ever experienced in our lives! The city tours featuring with highly qualified guides, helping us understand the history and monuments of each of the cities we visited. As for the hotels, we can only say that all accommodations are first class, both in infrastructure and in staff. Mayra and Sergio have established ties of true friendship in most hotels we visited, allowing us to enjoy five-star attention wherever we arrived. In particular, we have always said that both attention and luxury goes "in crescendo" along each route. Their choice of ground transportation deserves to be mentioned as well. All buses were fully equipped and brought us to each and every one of our destinations, without delays. We were chauffeured by educated and responsible drivers, allowing us to … read more

I participated in 2 eno-gastronomic experiences with Chateau Travel, one to Spain and one to Tuscany in Italy and will soon be going on their new experience to Napa Valley.

Many people ask me why I like traveling with them. The reason is that they give personal attention to detail and offer the perfect combination of luxury and relaxation represented in their excellent choice of hotels, vineyards, restaurants and tours. What more can you ask for on a great vacation???

There is a saying that to me sums up this experience with Chateau Travel... HE WHO LIVES IT, ENJOYS IT!

It is impossible to summarize in just a few words what these “experiences” offer!!!!!

Traveling with Chateau Travel was a wonderful experience for us and also proved to be a pleasant surprise. Due to the circumstances of our country in recent times, as travelers, we were really surprised to feel as safe and well-taken care of as in first world countries. The added value of care Mayra and Sergio give in their "travel experience" is really extraordinary and worthy of witnessing for yourself. Not to mention our fellow travelers, today they are much more than "pals". We have had two wonderful trips, and we feel a third is needed...We hope to travel soon!

We are sure that a dream trip like walking the premium wine regions of France, Bordeaux, Borgogne and the Champagne region is on the wish list of many, although they are likely very ambitious and difficult to fulfill. We were fortunate to experience guided by the expertise of Mayra and Esteva at Sergio Chateau Travel. It was a wonderful sensory experience where the only concern was that the trip would end too soon. The food and wine, culture and learning, continuous logistics everything was five stars. And something that is priceless is the strong bond of friendship created with Mayra and Sergio.

PS: The only risk is to traveling with Mayra and Sergio is that it can become addictive.

I will always remember the moments in Tuscany. They were very special. It was a fantastic group, where the hosts were very special. We would love to see you again, but it will only be next year, as we're going to be the grandparents of a baby girl, Clarissa. She’ll be born in Chile next April. Sending you our greetings and always thinking of you.
A big kiss to both of you.

Dear Sergio and Mayra,

We wish you every success in this new phase of your life and business that have led you so well so far. We believe that people who embark on Chateau Travel’s new adventures will fully enjoy the experience that such a charming couple has accumulated over the years. Carmen and I hope to join them in another fascinating eno-gastronomic adventure. The one we did in Spain left us unforgettable memories, and as your slogan goes, gave us an experience rich in knowledge of Spanish gastronomy and wine.

Hugs and wishes of continued success!

Warm hugs,

Spain
